My dad made it a point to eat together as a family. Of course, we didn't have cell phone so distractions were at an all-time low. Now that I have a family, it's tough to really "shut down" without a ding or some alert going off, lol!

I remember an article talking stating the family decided to put their cell phones in basket and off before they eat.

I think it is a great idea if the family wants to have those quality conversations. In this world, people still want to be listened and understood. It's great to have technology since we do rely on it. I'm a 90s kid so life was simpler growing up 😂

Your Dad is such a blessing. Oh yes, there were no pings or endless scrolling in the 90s. Phones in themselves are not bad; however, we need to be intentional about creating space for presence. Thank you for your reflections.

Yes, you got it. It's about the intention behind the technology. It's a tool so gotta use it as such. You are welcome!

Connection really does matter so that children can have those memories later. But it definitely takes intentionality. I love what you said about grace on hard days. The things that become rituals are always things that are easier to incorporate. Thanks for sharing.

You're spot on, Amber. It's the intentionality that turns ordinary moments into lasting memories. And so true about rituals. Blending even on the hard days becomes easier when you make it a ritual. Thank you for always. ✨

Yes. I am learning that there are no gimmicks to meaningful relationships. Connection takes effort. You're welcome!
